Great little windbreaker
Got this jacket about a month ago (in size S black) and have been wearing it a lot and think it's just great. It's got a bike-specific fit, so quite fitted with a long back, a close windproof collar and long windproof sleeves; but like most of the Descente cycling tops I own, it runs a little short in the torso in the front so if you are long-waisted and/or curvy you might want to size up in this. I'm 5'4" 120-25 lbs and wear a size S but have a long-ish (20") torso...the length on this JUST fits in the front, and it's a snug (but not uncomfortable) fit--some might find this jacket a little too narrow around the hips in their normal size though.As far as the fabric, it's softer, thinner, and silkier than many more typical windproof jackets (it feels and looks kind of like parachute material), but it is equally wind-and-water resistant and sturdy. Great for the price
This is a nice looking jacket and does stop the wind. It is not useful if it is chilly unless you layer, which it doesnt give a lot of room for. Also, it runs shorter so if you are tall it may not work.

Great jacket!
I was looking for a commuting cycling jacket but this was definitely more for road cycling. It's very snug and aerodynamic.It was lightweight but it was also warm.I recommend it.

Descente does fit strange, but this vest works well for me
Descente cycling tops do fit strange compared to other major brands of quality bicycling clothing. In general, Descente runs comparatively shorter in length, but also wider in the torso. This vest avoids some of the width problem by using a stretchy fabric to fit different body shapes. Length is not bad if you are average height for your weight, but will likely be too short if you are tall and skinny. The arm holes are a little snug when I'm standing up, but they are comfortable when I'm riding my bike and holding my arms outward in the normal cycling position. If you're in doubt about fit, you should buy from a shop where you can try the vest on before buying.Functionally, the vest works well. The stretch fabric holds the vest close to your body so cold air does not get underneath. The vest is thin and lighweight, so is not as windproof as heavier vests, but it is also very breathable. This vest is great in moderate conditions and cool mornings, when I can easily stuff it...
